  1. Robert Allenby had a couple of fliers out of the rough coming down the stretch at the Farmers Insurance Open. I’m starting to see the difference in their shot making. I guess this is what all of the greats of the past were talking about when they said that players would have to become “shot” makers again.

  2. @Dexter(QuoteGuy): Yup, those fliers destroyed any chances he had of winning, plus that ruling he got about his tee shot that forced him to declare a lost ball. I think we’re beginning to see a premium for driving accuracy. Ben Crane is not a long hitter, but he hits fairways and greens. And his putting was on. This may become the type of victories that we see this year.
